Newton County Missouri lifted the Burn Ban as of October 1, 2026, 3:00pm. Newton County appreciates the patience and cooperation of their citizens.

Newton Commission is monitoring the burn ban daily. There have been 14 vegetation fires in the last week, and this is after the heavy rain we received Sunday, September 20th. We are hoping for rain later this week as we continue to monitor the situation.
